Maybe you have enough material to start a proper dedicated topic in the TV series forum

Official News from GRR Martin : he only has 5 chapter to finish, and the book will be ready for publishing.
The publishing house dreams that it will be for this X-mas.

Re: GRR Martin : A Song of Ice and Fire
By the way, did I mention that Gimli GRR Martin has a kind of blog ? http://grrm.livejournal.com/
A place to scrutinize and try to guess on how things are advancing.
Anyway, since we know the saga is planned to be in 7 volumes, now that 4 have already been published and that the 5th is more or less on its way, the publication of this Dance with Dragons will only mean a new waiting time : the 2 last volumes (only 2 ? or maybe even more, which wouldn't surprise me, I have the feeling that GRR Martin is writing like a fanboy of his own books, adding and adding stuff all the time...)
Seems that Martin had a storytelling problem with a " Meereenese Knot" (Gordian Knot ??? ) he had to slash at the right point to manage to go on writing the books. He says that we will understand what he means when we read the books (in 2078 ?
). What is it ? A new important storyline ? A gigantic twist ? No idea. GRR Martin used to be a good chess player and host of tournaments, these people always act and speak weirdly
Some of the last news would make think that this "knot" problem had been solved. Wait (yes, I know...) and see.
