At first this series didn't interest me much beside the fact it was a HBO one. Reason is simple, it is about the horse racing world. A world about which I really don't care at all

But ... HBO announced yesterday that non the less than Dustin Hoffman will be part of the cast which includes also Dennis Farina, Nick Nolte and the famous rider Gary Stevens, who appeared also in the film Seabiscuit (which I personaly didn't see for the reason mention before ).

Luck will begin shooting this fall in Los Angeles, with locations including the Santa Anita Park racetrack.

The pilot episode is written by David Milch (NYPD Blue), and directed by ... Michael Mann

Now, I am interested !! At least for the pilot
