Funny actually, the snow has been artificially provoked. Dunnow exactly why, seems it s to put some fresh water on the region which lacks humidity.

At last, the meteo forecast is reliable in this country :D

Not to mention that it's a lot of snow for dinosaurs. Reptiles are cold-blooded. :D

Dinosaur blood temperature is a hot topic, some research suggest that they could have been warm-blooded, like the birds. But nothing established there...

But anyway, that s a lot of snow for this poor creature. It s in front of the Beijing paleotological museum, in which I took refuge from the weather. The place itself is rather disappointing since I know that armies of dinosaurs have been found in various places of China, the museum shows very little, and in a quite old-fashioned setting. I can recommend it as a calm place, I was alone in it (I mean me and the dinosaurs) :bw:

And there is a JiaLeFu close to it, so the place is not a totally negative one :drums:

For the monks I have no idea, :absinthe: I didn t notice when I took the pic... But the place is rather well rebuilt preserved and maintained, with a special squad of Monks trained with the legendary ancestral anti-tourist Kung-Fu style. The statues are supposedly from the mid XVIII th century, as the rest of the Temple, with some recent addings like a 18m tall Buddha made of one single piece of tree in the 1990s, this is an active place of cult.

I found a map of the whole complex :
